Fourth of July is a public-event season for us rather than a retail one. The bookings come from cities running an Independence Day festival in a park, military bases running a base-wide celebration, and HOAs running a neighborhood block party. The carnival is the daytime programming that holds families on site until the fireworks: game booths, concessions, a kid zone, face painters. Booths run red-and-white and blue-and-white together for the season, which reads patriotic against the flags and bunting a Fourth of July site is already dressed in. What the season really asks for is the right scale and the right paperwork. The paperwork is usually the hard part, and it is the part we have done before.
